Your time to shine! The Mid Atlantic Drum Showcase offers drummers ages 7-18 an opportunity to play drums LIVE at The Rex Theatre in front of friends, family, and a panel of professional drummers. Guest Artist Judges include Alex Cohen and Keith Smith. This is a SHOWCASE format not a competion 😎

About the event
The Showcase provides a unique experience for drummers ages 7-18 performing on stage wth lights, mics, and all the sights! Show your family, friends, and a panel of professional drummers. Awards include partial scholarship help to the 2026 Mid Atlantic Drum Camp.
Choose their favorite song and play your own grooves and fills! This is your chance to show the world what you've been doing in the practice room.
DRUMMERS PLAY ON A HOUSE KIT: HH, Snare, Single Kick Pedal, 2-rack toms, 2-floor toms, left stack (small), splash, left crash, middle crash, right stack, right effect crash, right stack (med to large) ride cymbal over the floor tom, cowbell is between the 2-rack toms, attached to the bass drum.
NO DOUBLE BASS PEDALS ARE PERMITTED due to time constraints.
Song time is limited to 4-minutes.
Your track needs to be respectful. If necessary, removing profanity, vulgar language, or negative or disparaging religious content.
Drummers bring their own wired headphones, sticks and throne.
Foot accessories are optional - however, there may not be a mic available near the instrument
Family are encouraged to record your performance and share on your social media accounts, family & friends.
This is a Showcase - not a competition!
* Live performance conditions may hinder video and/or audio capture - as a result - videos recorded by SoMar Drummers, Inc. may not be provided to the drummers.. You are encouraged to have family or friends record your live performance!
