Terms & Conditions

REGISTRATION, PAYMENT, TERMS & CONDITIONS,
EVENT CANCELLATION FOR SOMAR DRUMMERS, INC. EVENTS

Your registration for any SoMar Drummers, Incorporated event constitutes your acknowledgment, consent and agreement with Registration, Payment, Terms & Conditions and Camp or Event Cancellations outlined below:

Event Registration and Payments:​

 

  • All rates are per person. Information herein is applicable to each event sponsored or hosted by SoMar Drummers, Inc., henceforth referred to as SoMar Inc.

  • Payment information is outlined in detail in  the MADC Handbook, which is sent after receiving your $400 Nonrefundable deposit.

  • The $400 non-refundable deposit for MADC is due by March 1 (*) to reserve your spot in the camp. - Nonrefundable deposits not received by the March 1, 2026 will result in forfeiture of your spot in the MADC26.  SoMar Drummers, Inc. reserves the right to release your place in the camp to a student on the waitlist.  * If you do not contact us with a request for a deposit extension date, your spot will be cancelled and released to a drummer on the waitlist.                                                   REMINDER the $400 deposit is nonrefundable.

  • - Monthly payments are optional as long as the total camp tuition balance for the MADC is received in full by June 1. Postmarks are accepted if received after June 1.

  •  

  • No MADC26 refunds will be issued after June 1 - exceptions may be granted on a case by case basis.  If you request a refund prior to June 1, the $400 nonrefundable deposit will be subtracted from your refund amount.

  • We currently accept bank check, personal check or money order which must be received by the due date.  Online payment apps are being tested.

  • No credit will be issued for future camps.

  • To ensure spots remain available for interested students, we reserve the right to deny future registrations for those with a history of consecutive no-shows, inappropriate conduct or late withdrawals.

  • RETURNING Drummer discount applies to drummers who attended the previous year MADC.

  •  We comply with host site rules and regulations for student safety and security. By registering for a SoMar Drummers, Inc event you agree that you  / your child will behave within the guidelines and security measures set forth by SoMar Drummers, Inc and the host site, and your student(s) agrees to attend "at their own risk" without cause, further action or hold harmful SoMar Drummers, Inc. - or the host site - for actions beyond the safety and security measures established by SoMar Drummers, Inc and the host site(s). If you want to know more about our host site's security measures, please, contact the host site directly.

  • Rental kist are reserved for drummers arriving by air.

  • ​TERMS & CONDITIONS / EVENT / ARTIST CANCELLATION
    Once your submit your request to attend any SoMar Drummers Inc. camp or event, the following applies:

     

  • Due to the nature of our events and current world conditions, (virus, lockdown, pandemic, etc) SoMar Drummers, Inc strongly suggests purchasing travel insurance if traveling by air, train or bus to an event.

  • Artists / Educators and/or course curriculum is subject to change. SoMar Drummers Inc reserves the right to use a qualified professional substitute artist or educator in the event of the inability of an artists to attend all or part of an event. Change of Artists / Educators may involve circumstances beyond our control including emergency, illness, events, conflicts, etc. If any such changes are made, we will make reasonable efforts to notify registrants by email and website with up-to-date information. Attendees are still responsible for the full amount of their registration fee.

  • SoMar Inc reserves the right to cancel or disapprove a student's registration for our events. Event registrations may be evaluated to determine if the student is approved to attend. Students declined to attend an event is based on, but not limited to, the following criteria:                 perceived lack of effort, previous event withdrawal, poor behavior at a previous SoMar event,  disrespect to an Artist, Educators, Chaperones, Nurse, event staff,  demonstrating little or no interest / lack of interest during the teaching or instruction, soliciting or trying to solicit "special assignments" or access to artists or future event, etc.

  • MADC lack of interest includes inappropriate distractions such as behavior issues,  phone use, tablet, game, kindle, computer, etc., conflict with an artist, staff member or a student, lack of improvement from a previous or similar event, and/or in the case the event/camp has reached capacity, is overbooked or to allow new students an opportunity to attend. All such conditions are applied to our event registration approval process. By submitting your registration to our events, you acknowledge, accept and agree with the final decision made by SoMar Drummers,Inc Staff, Artists and/or Educators without further action. Notification of approval / disapproval will be sent to the registration email(s) within 7-days of the receipt of the student's registration.

  • All students, artists and staff must also comply with our Code of Conduct: We do not permit disruptive, dangerous, illegal, intolerant or discriminatory behavior.

  • Mid Atlantic Drum Showcase songs must not contain verbiage determined by SoMar Inc to be inappropriate for the general public. Due to facility, mechanical or human error and conditions out of our control, Showcase Performance videos are not guaranteed.

  • Students at all events will demonstrate respect toward Artists, Educators, Chaperones, Nurse, Event Staff, Media & SoMar Drummers Inc and event site Guests. Students will participate in all sessions, clinics, master classes or educational event and will not be active on a phone, tablet or other devices during instruction. Students are not permitted to bring, carry or use energy drinks, alcohol, tobacco, THC or CBD or other non-prescribed narcotic, hallucinogenic or substances.

  • Students that display a disrespectful demeanor or arive late to sessions, clinics, master classes, meals, room times or any camp event may be dismissed from the camp without refund.

  • Recording video or audio is at the discretion of the Artist / Educator. Students can / should ask for permission to record video at the beginning of sessions, clinics, master classes, etc.

  • Students, parents, artists and staff will respect the property, gear and equipment of event facilities, and or audio/visual equipment provided for the event.

  • SoMar Drummers, Inc reserves the right to dismiss an Artist / Educator, staff member, student or parent from any event, at any time, if their behavior is not compliant with this code of conduct, or if their conduct proves distracting to others

Drum Showcase:

While we do our best to attempt video and audio recording for each drummer, there is no guarantee that we will capture or create videos for the student. We encourage families to record their drummers performance!  


Event Cancellation:

SoMar Drummers, Inc reserves the right to cancel an event, or part of an event - at any time - at our discretion.

 

In the unlikely event the annual Mid Atlantic Drum Camp is canceled by any means beyond our control (national emergency, lockdown, disaster, facility cancellation, or acts of God) all fees collected by SoMar Drummers, Inc will be reimbursed by check. SoMar Drummers, Inc is not responsible for reimbursing the deposit, travel fees, fees for accommodations not provided by us, or other expenses. If you are flying in from out of state or country, we recommend you purchase travel insurance.
 

  • Mid Atlantic Drum Camp (MADC): All special guests and camp curriculum are subject to change. Payment cancellations for the MADC must be requested by June 1 of each year to receive a refund. The $400 MADC Deposit is non-refundable deposit and will be subtracted from the camp total if a student withdraws from the camp prior to June 1. Transfer of a deposit or full tuition from one registered student to a non-registered student must be coordinated together with SoMarDrummers, Inc., and the students no later than June 15.

  •  

  • No camp refunds or future credit will be issued after June 1.  If a student leaves the camp early, there is no refund and no future credit.

 

Notice of Social Media, Filming and Photography:

  • When you enter a SoMar Drummers Inc (SoMar) event or program, you enter an area where photography, audio, and video recording may occur.  We offer a Social Media opt out" form at Check in.  If you choose not to sign the "Opt Out Waiver" you consent to interview(s), photography, audio recording, video recording and its/their release, publication, exhibition, or reproduction to be used for news, web casts, promotional purposes, telecasts, advertising, inclusion on websites, social media, or any other purpose by SoMar Drummers, Inc and its affiliates and representatives. Images, photos and/or videos may be used to promote similar SoMar events in the future, highlight the event and exhibit the capabilities of SoMar. You release SoMar Drummers, Inc, its officers and employees, and each and all persons involved from any liability connected with the taking, recording, digitizing, or publication and use of interviews, photographs, computer images, video and/or or sound recordings. By entering the event premises, you waive all rights you may have to any claims for payment or royalties in connection with any use, exhibition, streaming, web casting, televising, or other publication of these materials, regardless of the purpose or sponsoring of such use, exhibiting, broadcasting, web casting, or other publication irrespective of whether a fee for admission or sponsorship is charged. You also waive any right to inspect or approve any photo, video, or audio recording taken by SoMar or the person or entity designated to do so by SoMar. You have been fully informed of your consent, waiver of liability, and release before entering the event.
