FAQ's
When can I send the video?
You can email your video anytime after you complete the registration process. Deadline for submitting your video is April 15, 2026
Is there an age limit?
Yes - drummers that enter the contest must be between the age of 12-15 years old on the first day of the camp.
What if I register for the contest but I don't win. Can I attend the camp at the normal price $1450?
The contest registration form will have the option to register for the camp and the contest or an option to just register for the contest. You can either:
a. Register for both the camp and the contest (this ensures your reserved spot in the camp if you don't win the scholarship)
b. Select the box "Register for contest only."
NOTE: If the camp reaches capacity, registration will close. If the selected winner checked the option to "Register for the contest and NOT for the camp" they will receive a spot in the 2026 camp.
What if the camp reaches capacity before the contest registration period?
Registration will remain open ONLY to drummers ages 12-15 for contest entry. If you are not selected as the winner you will not be able to attend the 2026 MADC if the camp sells out. If you want to attend the camp regardless of scholarship award, we recommend you check the box: "Enter TRX contest & Register for MADC 2026".
What if the camp reaches capacity and I am selected as the winner? The winner has a reserved spot in the camp, regardless of the box option they select.
What if I checked the box to only enter the contest and the camp filled up? If you selected the option to enter the contest only (but did NOT register for the camp) if you are not selected as the contest winner, you do not have a spot in the camp.
I selected to Register for the Camp& Enter the contests. The MADC Handbook says we have to send a none-fundable deposit by March 1, 2026 and other payments prior to the end of the contest.
What should I do?
If you registered for both the camp and scholarship contest, you must send payments as indicated in the Handbook. If you are selected as the scholarship winner, your nonrefundable deposit and any subsequent payments will be submitted back to you by refund. The contest winner will be reimbursed for ALL payments sent for the 2026 MADC, including the $400 deposit. Refund amount will not exceed the registration amount received from the winner. The Rental Kit option of $100, if selected at registration, is not included in the prize package and can be negotiated with the winner if a refund is issued.
Sheila Klotz is the camp host and endorses TRX Cymbals. Will she be on the selection committee?
Sheila is not participating in the scholarship decision process.
